Bowling Shoes and Thank You

Saturday night, my best friend and I went out. Not knowing what we would do, we opted to wear dresses.

After an hour-long dinner at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Cindy began asking what on Earth we were going to do for the rest of the night.

“Let’s go bowling,” I said with a smirk.

“Bowling? Erina, we’re in dresses!” She was obviously in disbelief. I felt like I had just asked her to help me fling kittens off a bridge.

“Well, it is either that—or, I teach you how to shoot pool.”

She stared at me for a second. Her eyes, wide with shock, resembled two hubcaps.

“Umm…”

“Of course, that would mean I’d have to take you to some dive bar,” I laughed.

“Okay, then no,” she said bluntly.

“Bowling it is.”

At the bowling ally, we had no wardrobe difficulties while playing two games. She beat me both times (billiards is my game), and I quickly learned that gutter-rails are meant for fools like me.

On another note, I gave Into the Inkpot a makeover! Do you like it? I photographed the image of the frog a few weeks ago.

I am also utilizing Snap Shots now. I think it will be useful. I like to include links to websites that contain information that is complimentary to my posts. To see a snap shot, simply hover your mouse-pointer over any link.

I would like to welcome the following visitors: Ricky, Magari, Brown, Suzie, Speedcat Hollydale, Rolando, Happily Anonymous, and Amit Schandillia.

Thank you all for your comments! I appreciate all of your words, and I look forward to knowing you all better.

Hey Erina! Sounds like you had a fun evening! First of all I like Macaroni Grill. We have one near by as well. I like their shrimp pasta, yum.

Bowling in dresses. Sure you guys got a lot of looks from the locals. Your shoes are hot! Haven't bowled in about a year. Same with pool. I think I equally just ok in both games.

I notice the site update. I like it, especially the picture of the frog with the splash of green.

The SnapShots is a cool feature. I use it for my sites too.

Rolando, I have never eaten the shrimp pasta. It sounds good. Every time I think I will order something off of the regular menu, I can’t help but fall prey to the “Create Your Own Pasta” menu. I adore the spicy, red sauce.

We went to a pretty secluded bowling ally. Not many people frequent it because you must keep your own scores. There are no electronic scoreboards on suspended televisions. I like it though. It is retro.

You should shoot pool again. It is a great way to pass the time.

Thanks for the layout compliment.

I like Snap Shots too. The feature just seems so useful. It is nice to know that you truly are about to be transported to the link you were promised.

Every once in a while, you have to do something silly. Makes life fun;-)
The blog looks great. I added the snapshot thing to my blog now too. Thanks for sharing.

It's rare that we go bowling that I don't even remember how to manually keep score. Dur.

Pool is fun. Wish we had room for one in our house.

What I'd really like is a ping pong table, lol. That will get you moving!

Looking forward to your next outing.

Haha, random impulses are the BEST!!! I went bowling with some friends this past week, good times. Try bringing up ping-pong next time ;)

By the way, I totally love your header (and matching footer).

Oops, sorry for the double-post...just wanted to say that I use Snapshots, too. It's very useful, but I tweaked it so that it's only for all external links and only certain internal links. Look forward to reading more your posts!

Watch out...you might start a trend. Next thing you know, everyone's gonna be walking around in bowling shoes with their dresses ; )

Wow Macaroni Grill sounds way better than the food I had at Poop di Peppo.

Thanks for the mention of my blog!

Christina, it was a blast! I wish you would have been there. I think you and Cindy would get along famously.

Rudi, thanks for the compliment. I agree that every life needs a splash of fun. It is great that you also utilize Snap Shots. I’m glad they also benefit you and your blog :)

Rolando, we didn’t really remember how to track score either. We took a refresher course from the woman that worked behind the shoe counter. Ha!

Ping-pong would be awesome. I have only played once. I don’t know of any public tables in my area. It is a shame.

Joanne, you have joined the “let’s play ping-pong” party. I bet both you and Rolando could beat me in a heartbeat. Still, it would be fun.

It is great that you and your friends went bowling too! Did you also have to keep your own score cards, or were you spoiled with electronic toys?

I will need to figure out how to tweak Snap Shots. It is great that you knew how to do it. Your site is awesome.

Jamie, that would be a wild trend. However, I can see it happening. Bowling shoes are usually pretty comfortable. Maybe we could create chic bowling shoes in fabulous colors? :)

Happily Anonymous, I bet you do get funny looks! Ha!

I know. I hate those comment confirmation images. I wish there were an easier way to block spammers.

Nihal, thanks for visiting! We did have a lot of fun. The food was amazing. I don’t blame you for feeling hunger pangs :)

Thanks for the compliment! The frog and I appreciate it!

Suzie, I’m sorry your food wasn’t good. I hope your next dinner is far better.

It is my pleasure to mention your blog. You have a great site and more people should know about it.

Rudi, do you have a blog? I like to visit each person's blog and leave comments. Since your profile is private, I don't know how to find your space on the web.

Thanks!
